WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump threatened Iran with a “dangerous drawback” Monday following stories that Saudi Arabian oil tankers had been sabotaged close to the Persian Gulf.
“It’ll be a nasty drawback for Iran if one thing occurs, I can let you know that,” the president instructed reporters within the Oval Workplace. “They don’t seem to be going to be joyful.”
Requested to make clear what he meant by a “dangerous drawback,” Trump responded: “You’ll be able to determine it out your self. They know what I imply by it.”
Trump’s remarks come amid heightened rigidity between the U.S. and Iran.
